Senior Director, spark*insights
Alex Kohut is a public opinion research, political communications and advertising professional with experience at the highest level of Canadian politics.
After completing a Masters Degree in Political Management from Carleton University, Alex worked for more than 6 years in the Office of the Prime Minister of Canada, eventually overseeing all government public opinion and advertising projects as the Senior Manager of Research & Advertising. He was named to the Hill Times list of the 100 most influential people to watch in federal politics in 2022.
Outside of government, Alex managed overnight polling for the Liberal Party of Canada in the 2019 and 2021 elections and has worked as a campaign manager, polling consultant and digital communications specialist.
Alex brings his expertise in connecting research and communications to spark*insights, where he will continue to find creative, data-driven solutions for clients through survey research, focus groups, analytics and innovative new public opinion tools. He specializes in using data to inform the development of branding, messaging and advertising creatives, and strives to integrate research into all spark projects.
In his free time, Alex enjoys travelling, writing, and organizing very complicated fantasy sports leagues.
