Make your mark
(with a little help)

Branding can persuade your stakeholders and audience to think about your organization in a way that is interesting, impactful, and favourable.

Spark something deeper

Ultimately the goal of branding is to consistently make a good impression, time after time. For that, branding needs to stand out from your peers, align with who you are and where you’re headed, and resonate with your audience.

Brand strategy

Position your brand to win hearts and minds with a strategy that helps communicate who you are in a meaningful way.

Research + insight

Conduct in-depth research to aid in stronger branding by looking into areas such as brand positioning, market opportunity/threats, brand perception, key audience demos, consumer insights, and influencer insights.

Naming + taglines

A brand name is the start of your story. Whether you're naming an organization, a product/service, or even a boat — the intent remains the same, the words you use and the way you identify your brand matters.

Brand identity + logo design

Whether developing a new brand or refreshing an existing one, every brand needs to stand out. An intentional and strategic brand identity system anchored by a unique logo is one of the most powerful ways to do it.

Workshops + facilitation

The view from outside an organization can often present a fresh perspective. Our goal-oriented branding sessions are aimed at bringing clarity to your issues related to branding, advocacy, and strategic messaging.

Advising + consulting

Harnessing the power of a brand can elevate communications and marketing efforts. Our team can help inform how to best utilize branding to drive awareness, inspire action, and encourage engagement with a cause or issue.

Space Canada:
Launching Canada's Space Association

Brand strategy | Naming | Identity + logo design | Collateral | Website | Launch

In 2021, working with our partners Telesat and MDA, we built a new national and united voice for Canada’s space sector. Instrumental in every step of the development and launch of the association, spark* worked with Space Canada and their members to ensure every voice was heard in the design and development of materials and preparation for the association launch.

Stem Cell Network:
Refresh for Future Growth

Brand audit | Brand strategy | Stakeholder Engagement | Identity + logo design

The Stem Cell Network (SCN) exists to power the growth and development of regenerative medicine research. In support of its 2022-2025 strategic plan, spark* conducted a brand audit and stakeholder engagement.

The analysis found key areas of the brand that needed realigning and ultimately led us to recommend a refreshed brand core and visual identity system.

Ensuring respect for brand equity and naming legacy, we again worked with key stakeholders on crafting an identity that would adapt to and grow with the network's strategic plan.

Wine Growers Canada:
Wine is better in moderation

Stakeholder engagement | Naming | Identity + logo design | Collateral | Website

We partnered with Wine Growers Canada (WGC) to develop The Right Amount™, a national responsible consumption of alcohol campaign. The initiative was designed to position Wine Growers Canada and their members as socially responsible organizations that encourage responsible consumption of wine.

As part of our engagement, we worked with WGC stakeholders to name and create a full bilingual brand identity system that included logos, labels for wine bottles, print collateral, and a wine consumers resource site.

Native Women's Association of Canada (NWAC):
Get Out The Vote 2021

Brand architecture | Identity + logo design | Collateral | Website

For too long Indigenous women have been greatly under-represented in voter turnout in Canadian elections and their issues ignored by the government. During the 2021 federal election, we partnered with NWAC on developing the “We’re Done Asking, We’re Voting” campaign.

Aimed at raising awareness and activating Indigenous women in Canada, the development of the campaign required a full suite of support. From a campaign brand identity system which fit within NWAC's existing brand, to the design and development of a campaign microsite and digital, social, and print materials, we provided a cohesive look and feel for the entire initiative.
